1. How much can I expect my grade to
increase by? This depends on many factors such as: How many sessions you
have throughout the year and your level of motivation. We have had
students turn W grades into A grades before.
2. How long are the sessions and how much do
they cost? Its Depend on your tutor's decision. You
should discuss with your tutor. 3. Do I travel to the tutor or will the
tutor come to me? An issue between you and your tutor but which you can
specify. 4. Will homework be set?
Most tutors normally set some homework. However, if there
is a preference then this should be specified by you.
5. Where are the tutors located? Throughout the
Sri Lanka with our tutor database growing constantly.
6. Are all of the tutors school teachers? Most tutors are school teachers
& university students. However, we do accept applications
from candidates that are not, provided that they are exceptionally
well qualified and can offer relevant experience.
7. What information will I need to provide? You will need to provide the subject, level and examination board.
8. What are the advantages of individual
tuition over small group tuition? Small group tuition can be rather vague as often individuals are put
together of different ages, abilities and different examination
boards. We are examination grade focused. We believe in maximizing
the examination grade by being specific and targeting key areas.
This is impossible in a group environment.
9. What are the advantages of using a Tuition agency? We will match your requirements to the highest qualified and most
experienced tutors. We have access to a far higher range of tutors
than any individual would have. We also carry out many checks on our
tutors to ensure that the person you receive is genuine. 10. What happens if I am not happy with the
service? We can arrange to change the tutor. You are welcome to stop or start
at any time that you like.
11. What happens during school holidays? It is up to you. However, we recommend that lessons do continue as
this allows for a level of consistency. |

1. What do I need in order to register?
Evidence of academic qualifications. You will also
need to provide references.
2. Is registration free? Yes, registration is free.
3. Do I need to be a fully qualified
teacher? No, as long as you are qualified to at least degree level. There may
be opportunities. 4. How much work will I get?
We get a lot of work. However, it depend what subject you
teach and in what areas. Most of the work is for English, Maths and
Science near major cities such as Colombo.
5. Do I have to pay anything?
There are no registration fees. But if you think to have a more publicity
through our Tuition Agency We are welcome to give a publicity rather than other
tutors, so you have to simply pay a little.
6. Do I travel to the student or does the
student travel to me? This is an issue between you and the client.
7. Are traveling expenses paid?
You may charge the client a fee per visit for
traveling costs. However these are costs and not profit. It is not
reasonable to charge money if they are two streets away.
8. Am I employed by the agency? The agency considers all tutors to be self employed. 9. Is there any work during the day? Yes sometimes we have adult learners or some sixth form students are
at home in the afternoons.
10. What happens if a client cancels at the
last minute or is not at home when I arrive?
The arrangements regarding this issue needs to be set up
during the initial conversation with the client.
11. What can I expect to earn from tutoring?
This depends on the subject and the level. |
